Involvement With a Destructive Group

If you were once involved with Worldwide Church of God, Philadelphia Church of God, or any of its controlling splinter groups, you know what it is like to feel betrayed and exploited in the worst possible way. Upon exiting, or being disfellowshipped, survivors often suffer complex post traumatic stress disorder due to cult mind control programming. Without education to understand what happened to them, and to know it is possible to recover, they often feel alone in their experiences and feelings. As a result, many will suffer emotionally, spiritually and psychologically for years, carrying feelings of guilt, shame, fear, separation, and the inability to feel and understand God's love and acceptance.

Destructive religious groups, sometimes referred to as apocalyptic cults, high demand groups, or spiritually abusive, controlling churches, are becoming more widespread in our society. The devastation they leave behind is enormous.

Help and Hope:

If you are a former member or survivor of Worldwide Church of God* (Herbert W. Armstrong), Philadelphia Church of God (Gerald Flurry), Restored Church of God (David C. Pack), Living Church of God (Roderick Meredith), Church of God-PKG (Ronald Weinland), Intercontinental Church of God (Garner Ted Armstrong), or any affiliated high demand splinter, which claims to be the true Church of God and that they alone have the source of truth, then we trust you will find these pages helpful. They are filled with courageous feelings, education on mind control, information to unravel the lies and propaganda, and validation, encouragement, and hope in recovery.

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."
~ I John 4:1
