1. GOD'S LOVE FOR US
John 3:16:
"For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life."
God's
love is far more than we can ever comprehend and He desires to give us
eternal life through His Son.
2.
SIN HAS SEPARATED MAN FROM GOD
Isaiah
53:6:
"All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to
his own way: and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all."
Romans
5:12:
"Wherefore, as
by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death
passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:"
Man
chose to disobey God and go his own way. Sin means missing the mark
of perfection.
3. MAN'S EFFORTS
CANNOT REPAIR THE DAMAGE CREATED BY SIN
Romans
3:20:
"Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be
justified in his own sight:"
Romans 4:5:
"But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the
ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness."
Titus 3:5a:
"Not
by works of righteousness which we have done..."
Neither
good works, moral lives, religion, baptism, church membership,
confirmation, philosophy, can bridge the gulf which separates us from
God.
4.
JESUS CHRIST IS GOD'S REMEDY FOR SIN
Acts
13:38-39:
"Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
And
by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye
could not be justified by the law of Moses."
Romans 5:8:
"But
God commendeth [proved] his love toward us, in that, while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us."
Ephesians
1:7:
"In
whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins,
according to the riches of his grace."
I
John
2:2:
"And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours
only, but also for the sins of the whole world."
Jesus
Christ was the only One who ever lived a sinless life. He was willing to give
His own life to pay for all our sins when He died on the cross. Jesus truly
paid it all.

HOW TO ACCEPT GOD'S FREE GIFT OF SALVATION
John
6:47:
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life."
Acts
16:31:
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved."
Romans
10:9:
"That if
thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in
thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Romans 10:13:
"For
whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Ephesians
2:8-9:
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves; it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should
boast."
Matthew 11:28:
"Come unto me, all ye that labour
and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
There is nothing that you can do to earn
eternal life;
you are saved by God's grace and grace alone. If you sincerely turn to Christ Jesus
in faith and trust Him, God will save you. It is not a prayer that saves
you; prayer is only evidence
of your faith.
The following is only a sample prayer, but you may pray in your own words.
|
Sample
Prayer
Jesus, I
believe with all my heart that you are the Son of God who died on the
cross for all my sins and that you rose again from the dead. I now place my faith in You
as my personal Savior and ask you to come into my life. Thank you for
forgiving me and giving me the gift of eternal
life.

Believe
that God has heard your prayer and received you and that you are now His child. Your salvation
is settled once and for all. Abide in
Christ, live by faith, pray; read His Word daily. The blessed Holy Spirit
will be with you forever, comforting you, and teaching you the things of
Christ, as you grow in His grace and love.
Ephesians
1:6-7:
"To
the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted
in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the
forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace"
Ephesians 1:3
"Blessed be the God and Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in
heavenly places in Christ:"
Ephesians
1:13:
"In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise."
I
John 2:12:
"I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake."
ASSURANCE
OF SALVATION
John
10:28:
"And
I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither
shall any man pluck them out of my hand."
John 20:31:
"But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ,
the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name."
Philippians
1:6:
"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:"
I John
5:13:
"These things have I written unto
you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye
have eternal life..."
