Dog Attack
| Every once in awhile, when we least expect it, Jesus does it His way and
shows us we are His children and He is watching over us.
Today, I went running at lunch time and I was running down a road where this young lady had a huge dog held by his collar sitting on a picnic table. The dog looked like a mixed breed Rottweiler and shepherd. As soon as he saw me, all I could see was teeth and he was barking very mean-like. The girl seemed to have a good hold on him but all of a sudden, in the madness of his rage to want to eat me, he got loose! He was about 25 feet from me and ran a straight shot to me. All I could see was TEETH and hear this noise knowing that I was going down. He came charging at me with the girl following. Well, to make a long story short, the dog charged at me and leaped for my head. I just put my hands out and made a sound that I've never heard before and don't ask me where it came from. I think it was my replica death sigh! The dog gave me a weird look and stopped immediately -- just stood there and watched me continue on in my daily run. The girl stood astounded with her mouth open and said, "Oh, my God." I wish I was thinking better because I would've said, "Apparently, He is my God too! I definitely spoke something out of fear and it froze the lips and bones of the dog to close his mouth shut. That day, I was just giving up my daily run, but this incident made me go and go and go and faster and faster and faster....with no looking back! Story for today..... I know Jesus stopped Him! I pray for my family's protection every morning before I leave the house. I wish I had this on video so you could see what happened. That dog had death in his eyes, but I had life.
