Poems/Free Verse

Sometimes we that have survived an abusive, soul-damaging experience express more freely our feelings through poems or free verse. I hope that you will find comfort and peace through these poems and know that Jesus truly understands and cares.

Dedicated to the true Lord Jesus Christ

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest." ~ Matthew 11:28

Dark Valleys
Pressed
Jesus is Always There
It Was Christ
I Needed the Quiet
Draw Near in This Dark Night
So Much Lost
Consider Him
If Only
Special People
The Love of Others
He Careth
He Giveth More

Wait, Trust and Rest
Come With Me
A Place of Meditation
When Day is Done
(in loving memory of C.C. Whittington)
To Keep
I Shall Not Pass This Way Again
The Weaver
A Lonesome Place

Disappointment
God Knoweth Best
Gifts From God
By Faith

The Resurrection of Life

The Love of God (Do you know that you cannot keep God from loving you?)

Comforting Words About the True God

Comfort in Music

music notes

Reading through the words of sacred hymns has a way of speaking to many of us in a special way of Jesus and His love. Let these words comfort you and encourage you. If you have a chance to listen to the music of any of these songs, you will  understand how beautiful the melody is.

C. C. Whittington, a dear saint of God, ministered to me in a wonderfully healing way after I exited the WCG through the beautiful music he played on his radio program. He passed away on 11-13-00 at the age of 84. His AM radio program "Hymns and Gospel Songs for All Churches" started in 1952 and continued until April 2002. I am so thankful that the music was able to be heard as long as it was.

"When Day is Done" (I posted this in loving memory of C.C. Whittington)

Note: For ministries and hymnals that have some of these songs, see see Music on on our Links.

Dedicated to the true Lord Jesus Christ

I have seen the face of Jesus,
Tell me not of aught beside;
I have heard the voice of Jesus,
All my soul is satisfied.

The Ninety and Nine
O The Deep, Deep Love of Jesus
Wonderful Peace
All I Need
Fill My Cup
Face to Face
When We See Christ
Fairest Lord Jesus
I've Found a Friend, O Such a Friend
Jesus is the Sweetest Name I know
All in the Name of Jesus
The Lily of the Valley
Under His Wings
All the Way My Savior Leads Me

I Need Thee
Moment by Moment
Jesus! What a Friend for Sinners
I Must Tell Jesus
The Beautiful Garden of Prayer
In the Garden
How Sweet the Name of Jesus Sounds
More About Jesus
Oh, How I Love Jesus

Grace Greater Than Our Sin
Wonderful Grace of Jesus
Jesus is All the World to Me
Be Still My Soul
"Abba, Father," We Approach Thee
The Solid Rock
Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus

There's Room at the Cross
I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say

It is Morning in My Heart
Spirit, Now Live in Me
Our Great Savior
The Glory of His Presence

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual song, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." ~ Colossians 3:16-27
