Christian Biblical Church of God (Fred R. Coulter)

Has Christian Biblical Church of God restored original Christianity? What should you be aware of before getting involved? Make sure all your questions have been answered beforehand especially concerning what is expected of you financially!

Brief History:

CBCG was founded in 1983 by Fred R. Coulter and is located in Hollister, California. His website carries the name: Truth of God–Restoring Original Christianity–For Today! or Truth of God–Biblical Church of God.

False Gospel:

Coulter claims that CBCG is “dedicated to teaching the truth.” However, CBCG’s “truth” is nothing but the dogma and belief system of Herbert W. Armstrong, a false prophet who gave over 200 false prophecies.

HWA is known to have copied and plagiarized from Jehovah’s Witnesses, 7th-day Adventism, Mormonism, and Church of God (7th Day).

Coulter plainly teaches a false gospel that cannot save! The Apostle Paul said the Gospel was the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. (See I Corinthians 15:1-4) The true gospel is the good news about the Lord Jesus Christ, what He has accomplished and how He has forgiven all our sins. Coulter teaches contrary to this; therefore, he denies the gospel and is teaching another gospel. (II Corinthians 11:4; Galatians 1:6)

Fred Coulter has many booklets and audios on his site based on the false teachings of Herbert Armstrong, including HWA’s book Mystery of the Ages which was the culmination of all HWA’s teachings. (See ESN’s chapter by chapter critical reviews of Mystery of the Ages, available as PDF downloads).

Herbert Armstrong was not only a false prophet and false teacher, he was an immoral person and a hypocrite.

Conclusion:

CBCG’s is merely one of hundreds of offshoots from the Worldwide Church of God, founded by Herbert W. Armstrong, and known for decades as a Bible-based cult, teaching a false gospel and destroying lives.

This is the “restored Christianity” Fred R. Coulter is talking about. Beware that you are not deceived and end up being exploited financially through his tithing system, along with mandated holy day offerings!

Make sure you are not being deluded into believing a false gospel expounded by Fred Coulter. The Scriptures warn us about false teachers and tell us to be discerning! Ask God to show you if what you are believing is error and ask Him to lead you into the way of eternal life.
