Gerald Flurry believes God has revealed more understanding to him from Amos 7.1 He and his son declare we are in the Amos 7 time-frame2 where God is “warning one last time.”

Following are quotes which talk about PCG members going to the Place of Safety and are taken from “Who is the Modern-day Jeroboam?” by Gerald Flurry:

“When this nation can’t bear our message anymore, the leaders will tell us to get out: ‘O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there’ ” (Amos 7:12).

“People will know a lot about our work and our involvement in Judah. And when we become outcasts, it appears they will force us to go to Jerusalem, on our way to a place of safety.”

“God’s Church will be forced to leave. No one will be here to deliver the message anymore. When this faithful remnant of God’s people is taken to a place of safety, God’s message will cease, except what we do from there.”

“When God is done passing by His people, He will take His faithful remnant to a place of safety. If anyone is going to join them in that place of protection, this is their last chance—or they will face Jeroboam’s fate!”

GF made several predictions in this article about an “end-time Jeroboam,” whom he believes is President Trump. He used vague words such as “could,” “appear” and “perhaps” so when his predictions failed, he wouldn’t be held accountable:

“God is showing us that we are getting extremely close to the end. This could be our last elected president. This could be America’s last presidential election. … it appears probable that this president will have only one term.”

“Amos 7:7-17 show that our time is very limited. What is going to happen in the next four years or perhaps even less?”

“The emphasis in Amos 7 on the ‘house of Jeroboam’ could mean the leader of America in the end time is a descendant of that Jeroboam anciently.”

GF emphasized the word “end” many times in this article such as “end-time prophecy,” “end-time nations of Israel,” the “last end,” and “end-time.” For decades he has been talking about the “end-time”; but most of his followers are too filled with fear to question, or have their entire lives wrapped up in the belief system.

GF used the words “destruction” and “sword” and “warning” more than once in relation to the nation’s punishment and sins.

Gerald Flurry and Stephen Flurry are guilty for capitalizing on people’s fears, as they callously continue to exploit members, taking their money for all kinds of luxuries and worthless spending, calling it “prophesying again” and “delivering the gospel.” There is no end to their need for more money to “support the Work.” They preach another gospel (of works) and lead innocent people down a path of bondage and misery; even destroying their faith. In the end, such teachers will be accursed. (Galatians 1:7)

Gerald Flurry believes he is a “type of Amos,” which is only one of the many titles he has given himself.3

No one need worry or have anxiety about GF’s prophecies, because there are no modern-day apostles and prophets.4

“Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.” (Jeremiah 23:32)

The truth is that those who place their faith and trust in Christ Jesus are far better off than those who remain under fear and bondage. He loves us with an everlasting love and has promised to never leave us nor forsake us. (Hebrews 13:5) Look to Him and not to Gerald Flurry (a man) or his fearful false prophecies.

“casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].” (I Peter 5:7 Amplified Bible)

Note: What GF does not bring out is that Amos (a prophet of God) also saw “visions.” Has GF seen visions? A “seer” was another name for a prophet in those days, who also saw visions mentally and spiritually. GF claims to have received revelation (not visions) about the book of Amos (and other books).

”God who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days
spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds”
~Hebrews 1:1-2

3 Biblical Titles Gerald Flurry Has Appropriated for Himself

4 Gerald Flurry is not an apostle because the qualification for apostles were men who not only had seen the resurrected Christ, but were directly and personally commissioned by Him to preach the gospel. (See: Galatians 1:1) For a longer answer, read the 12-1-10 letter: Found Problems With Gerald Flurry Declaring Himself to Be an Apostle and especially see the reply which goes into detail.
