I have found a friend in Jesus,
He’s everything to me,
He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul;
The Lily of the Valley, in Him alone I see
All I need to cleanse and make me fully whole.
In sorrow He’s my comfort,
In trouble He’s my stay,
He tells me every care on Him to roll,
He’s the Lily of the valley, the bright and Morning Star,
He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.
He all my grief has taken,
And all my sorrows borne;
In temptation He’s my strong and mighty tower;
I have all for Him forsaken, and all my idols torn
From my heart, and now he keeps me by His power.
Tho’ all the world forsake me,
And Satan tempts me sore,
Thro’ Jesus I shall safely reach the goal,
He’s the Lily of the valley, the bright and Morning Star,
He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.
He will never, never leave me,
Nor yet forsake me here,
While I live by faith and do His blessed will;
A wall of fire about me, I’ve nothing now to fear,
With His manna He my hungry soul shall fill.
Then sweeping up to glory,
To see His blessed face,
Where rivers of delight shall ever roll,
He’s the Lily of the valley, the bright and Morning Star,
He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.

Under His Wings
Under His wings, I am safely abiding,
Though the night deepens and tempests are wild;
Still I can trust Him– I know He will keep me,
He has redeemed me and I am His child.
Under His wings, what a refuge in sorrow!
How the heart yearningly turns to His rest!
Often when earth has no balm for my healing,
There I find comfort and there I am blest!
Under His wings, O what precious enjoyment!
There will I hide ’til life’s trials are o’er;
Sheltered, protected, no evil can harm me,
Resting in Jesus I’m safe evermore.
Refrain:
Under His wings, under His wings,
Who from His love can sever?
Under His wings my soul shall abide,
Safely abide forever.

“…hide me under the shadow of thy wings” ~Psalms 17:8
More about Jesus would I know;
More of His grace to others show;
More of His saving fullness see,
More of His love who died for me.
More about Jesus let me learn,
More of His holy will discern;
Spirit of God, my teacher be,
Showing the things of Christ to me.
More about Jesus; in His word,
Holding communion with my Lord;
Hearing His voice in every line,
Making each faithful saying mine.
More about Jesus on His throne,
Riches in glory all His own;
More of His kingdom’s sure increase;
More of His coming, Prince of Peace.
