I’ve found a Friend, O such a Friend!
He loved me ere I knew Him;
He drew me with the cords of love,
And thus He bound me to Him.

And ’round my heart till closely twine
Those ties which can’t be severed.
For I am His, and he is mine,
Forever and forever.

I’ve found a Friend, O such a Friend!
He died to save me:
And not alone the gift of life,
But His own self He gave me.

Naught that I have my own I call,
I hold it for the giver;
My heart, my strength, my life, my all
Are His, and His forever.

I’ve found a Friend, O such a Friend!
So kind, and true, and tender,
So wise a Counselor and Guide,
So mighty a Defender!

From Him who loves me now so well,
What power my soul can sever?
Shall life or death, shall earth or hell?
No! I am His forever.

“…There is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.” ~Proverbs 18:24

Jesus is the Sweetest Name I Know

There have been names that I have loved to hear,
But never has there been a name so dear
To this heart of mine, as the name divine,
The precious, precious name of Jesus.

There is no name in earth or heav’n above,
That we should give such honor and such love.
As the blessed name, let us all acclaim,
That wondrous, glorious name of Jesus.

And someday I shall see Him face to face,
To thank and praise Him for His wondrous grace,
Which He gave to me, when He made me free,
The blessed Son of God called Jesus.

Refrain:

Jesus is the sweetest name I know,
And He’s just the same as His lovely name,
And that’s the reason why I love Him so;
Oh, Jesus is the sweetest name I know.

All in the Name of Jesus

Truth and beauty and happiness
It’s all in the name of Jesus
Health and Heaven, peace and rest
It’s all in the name of Jesus

Joy and gladness, forgiveness too
Life everlasting and free
All that I’ve longed for and all I need
It’s all in the name of Jesus

Care and comfort, healing and grace
It’s all in the name of Jesus
Welcome and pardon, a hiding place
It’s all in the name of Jesus

Warmth and sunshine, friendship true
Fulfillment and blessing untold
Hope for tomorrow and help for today
It’s all in the name of Jesus

Refrain:

Jesus, Jesus, He’s here
And He’ll show you the way
Jesus, Jesus, He’s all that you need today

By Stephen R. Adams

Note: “All in the Name of Jesus” is very beautiful.
It was played on C.C. Whittington’s radio program years ago.
Later I heard Bill Harrell sing it on his album, “To Be Used of God.”
