A brand new ruling sent down from King Flurry was announced last Sabbath (July 16, 2016). Gerald Flurry, in his “omnipotent wisdom,” has ruled that now all contact with unbaptized children who have left the PCG is to be terminated immediately.
It has been the policy for years that parents were still allowed to talk to children who have left the PCG only If they were unbaptized. Now Pope Flurry has even taken away that small mercy.
The talk amongst the children now affected by this judgment is that this will push many PCG families over the edge and force them to leave or get put out. Others feel that this will put one more nail in the coffin of Flurryism. Flurry is looking more and more like “mad King George” as his actions are ruining the PCG. All of his egomaniacal pipe dreams have come to nothing. The dig in Jerusalem has failed. The PCG radio station broadcast from the Edmond compound has failed. Membership has plummeted since the late 90s and there is almost no growth. Some wonder that in the end all that will be left is a small “Jonestown faithful” secluded on the Edmond compound.
Since I wrote the above, it has now come to my attention that Gerald Flurry, in addition to the recent no-contact ruling against non-baptized children who refused to attend the PCG, has now also included non-baptized spouses of PCG members. This new PCG policy is being implemented under the radar by regional directors Cal Culpepper and Fred Dattolo.1 This ruling affects those non-baptized spouses who have been attending services regularly with their baptized PCG mates and then stop attending. In other words, they attended for a period of time but have decided not to anymore. The reasoning apparently given is that those non-baptized mates are held responsible for the “truth” and “new revelation” they have heard from the PCG. Cal Culpepper quotes HWA’s old saying that the “truth” you hear at the mouth of the Prophet/Apostle (Flurry) is “dangerous knowledge” and these non-baptized mates will be held to a higher standard. I have been told by one lady whose sister was put out that Culpepper said “this comes straight from the Prophet.” So Flurry is given the green light for these marriages to be dissolved at the request of the regional directors.
It was the general rule for years (even in the WCG) that non-baptized spouses of PCG members were allowed to continue a marital relationship with a non-member spouse if that said spouse was “pleased to dwell with them” (1 Corinthian 7:13). Apparently, Flurry’s theological rationale behind this new ruling is that by separating from “unbelievers” the faithful PCG member will keep from being “spiritually defiled” by the unbaptized spouse or child.
These abandoned loved ones will have to suffer all the torments of the Tribulation–starvation, torture, rape, cannibalism, plagues–which will supposedly in the end cause these people to repent and finally accept “God’s Loving Family Government.” I have heard Dennis Leap in a sermon say, “Either you will learn to obey Government in the PCG, or you will learn it in the Tribulation at the butt end of a German Rifle.” Gerald Flurry in his PCG booklet on the biblical book of Lamentations writes that even the young children of the Laodiceans will be forcibly taken from their parents to be sold as sex slaves by the Germans. All of this is apparently done “in love” by God to make people see the error of their ways.

Recently, I was surprised to receive a call from a good friend from my PCG days whose name is Cassie Flory. Cassie, who was baptized, was married to Scott Flory2. I was very fond of Scott and Cassie and when I first came into the PCG I would fellowship with them often. We would have meals after services, and I even stayed at their house from time to time. Scott, as I recall, was a very devoted husband and father. I never saw him mistreat his wife and kids in any way. He worked hard to provide for his family and his wife and his kids never lacked anything. In all actuality, I envied them because at that time I was single and living alone. Cassie told me that her marriage to Scott was, for all practical purposes, dissolved by the regional director of the North East PCG–Cal Culpepper. She said they both were cast out (“suspended”) from the PCG a few years ago under the direct orders from Cal Culpepper for certain offenses that Culpepper found unacceptable.
Scott apparently pined away faithfully during all the time of their suspension and was waiting for that special phone call from Culpepper that would allow them to return to the “church.” Well, some time ago, he got the green light from Culpepper to return. However Scott ended up was faced with a dilemma. The condition of his return to the PCG was that he had to turn out his wife Cassie and no longer allow her to live with him. It was basically Scott’s and Cal Culpeper’s way or the highway. When Scott told Cassie that he was allowed back in PCG, she said, “What about me?” He told her she had to leave. Cassie told me that she had nowhere to go!! She packed some of her belongings and lived for a while with various friends. She finally found her own place and is trying to rebuild her life, but is now living without the man she loved and was married to for over 10 years. All of this on the direct orders from the demonized Cal Culpepper.
So it seems that my once good friend Scott who I always remembered as a loving husband has–at the behest of Culpepper and for the sake of saving his skin from the Tribulation–lost his wife and children. As a consequence of this new policy from Flurry, he will (in his own mind) never see his family again unless they repent under torture from the Beast power and be “martyred for the faith.” Then they will all be happily united in HWA’s “World Tomorrow.”
Jay Hayes (Elizabethtown PCG) was also told the SAME thing by Culpepper about his 14 year old daughter when she failed to tow the line. She was driven to Georgia and left at her grandmothers house. This was on Culpepper’s orders because Jay told me himself on the phone that he did that.
My question is this: What kind of poisonous spiritual Kool-Aid is Gerald Flurry forcing his followers to drink?
