Is a Huge Shift Coming in PCG's Work? - Exit & Support Network

Gerald Flurry has gone all out, acting like an insane man, bent on boasting that he was right about Donald Trump and ranting about a “huge shift” coming in PCG’s work.

ESN was sent a copy of the January-February 2025 Royal Vision from a PCG source. These words were embolden on the front: “How Trump’s Victory Changes Our Work” (the words “Changes our Work” were in gold [no mention of the word “PCG” on the cover] with a huge headshot of Donald Trump. The Personal inside by Gerald Flurry was entitled “How Trump’s Victory Changes the PCG’s Work” with a full length picture of Trump in a red tie.

Let’s go through this issue and see how much truth is told and how much is being conveniently buried from people’s memory. [Bolding ours throughout unless otherwise noted.]

To understand what GF is talking about, readers must first be aware that he has always been basing his “predictions,” or “prophecies” on Herbert Armstrong’s book, The United Stated and Britain in Prophecy (which has been thoroughly debunked) (See: The US and Britain in Prophecy – What Did Herbert Armstrong Teach About it?), along with misinterpreting and twisting books in the Bible such as Amos and Ezekiel, as he attempts to apply their prophetic words to PCG for today.

First of all, GF is not a prophet or “that Prophet” and American & the British Commonwealth are not what he calls “modern-day Israel.”

Once discerning eyes see through all that, they don’t have to have concern or fears about what GF teaches.

It’s also important to understand what the gospel is and that we are saved by grace through faith (apart from works), because GF is going to pound the opposite narrative into the reader’s mind and insist it is PCG that has the true gospel. To teach contrary to the true gospel found in II Corinthians 11:4 is to deny the Gospel and to teach another gospel. (Galatians 1:6)]

GF lets out all his fervor in his Personal: “How Trump’s Victory Changes the PCG’s Work.” But we notice that he is now careful not to say that it was “he” who prophesied or “forecasted” the election outcome but that it was God.

We will only cover some high points in his Personal.

GF says:

“God prophesied that Donald Trump would return…and that prophecy has been fulfilled.”

“That is one of the prophecies by which God revealed that Trump, a modern-day Jeroboam, would be back.”

Yet, looking back we can clearly see that GF did indeed make the prophecy in January 2021:

After Donald Trump wasn’t elected in 2020 after saying he would be, GF backpedaled and said he “had made a mistake” and that God “speaks in a coded way.” [Read: Gerald Flurry Says He “Made a Mistake” in His Article on Trump.

GF went on in this Personal to say how God is using Trump to save Israel (U.S. & Britain) temporarily and that makes Trump’s victory “even more impressive and exciting” and this “resurgence” means they (i. e., “God’s people”) “must understand the far-reaching implications this has for our message—and how it puts us on a countdown to the end of this Work and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ!” [bolding ours]

He goes into Amos 7 [See our article: Gerald Flurry and the Amos 7 Prophecy] and how “God’s anger” is because of Obama and the “destruction” he (Obama) caused. But God is ” relenting” and “refraining from immediate punishment” because God is going to give “one last warning” before he “punishes the nation.” It is now PCG’s “responsibility to deliver this severe warning message to Jeroboam.”

GF says this is “a huge shift” because for over a decade PCG has “focused on exposing Antiochus (Obama)” but Amos 7 shows “an abrupt shift.”

“God has exposed Satan’s Antiochus [Obama]—though I am sure that there will be more of his wrongdoing exposed. But when Barack Obama is silenced, the attention of God’s prophet turns to Jeroboam. [Trump] We are no longer focused primarily on exposing Antiochus but on warning Jeroboam!“

He goes on to say this is going to be a “very difficult message to deliver” and they have to be “tough Christians to do this job.”

Then, as usual, he quotes HWA saying (in 1983),

“That’s why He called me 51 years ago in this world of darkness, to take the light that is in God’s Word, the Bible, and get it to the world!”

GF went on and on about how HWA “came alive” when he said those words and that he “gave himself to that job 100 percent, and look what he did for God!”

“If we do our part, we have light to give to this world, to try to wake them up…”

Didn’t Jesus say He was the Light of the world? (John 8:12)

Why don’t we stop and look back at the destruction HWA and the WCG caused. [Read: Did Herbert W. Armstrong Abuse His Flock?]

“God’s Church today is God’s royalty, possessing the throne of David [Read: Gerald Flurry’s Insanity With the New Throne of David], the throne Jesus Christ will sit on. We have a lot of light here—light that we must get to the world! We have the solutions to everything!”

GF gets to the main point of his Personal when he says

“Jeremiah 1 shows “a change in our work…” “God says He is going to speed up events.” “God is accelerating this Work in many ways, such as giving us a corporate jet. That has really helped us to speed things up. So we must not drag our feet!”

Then he talks about nuclear war. And says, “We have to warn people what is coming.”

“I think God is going to open another, even bigger door. Biblical archaeology looks to be only Phase One. There must be a Phase Two! God has to open a door for us where we can reach them [Judah]—maybe through the Internet or television or radio.”

“We are going to have to be stronger and more direct in our message. A lot of people are not going to like this message. Certain people in Judah will have concerns about it, but that is the way it is! We will have a more intense kind of contact somewhere down the road, and we cannot let biblical archaeology be our only focus there. I don’t know what kind of door God will open for us;…”

“God is saying that we must not be afraid—we have to conquer our natural fear to give this message. Lift up your voice with strength! Even that sounds like it might be more than biblical archaeology—that God has what we could call a Phase Two of this message.”

“But again, we have a message that most people will not accept when they know more about it. That is OK. We have light to give them.“

Under “EZEKIEL 2 AND 3” GF says the Prophet Ezekiel also warns that confrontation is in our future.”

“Ezekiel 3:22 shows God taking His faithful people to a place of safety.”

“People will receive all that light Mr. Armstrong was talking about, all this wonderful truth of God that gives meaning to everything!“

I thought Christ Jesus was the Light and the One who gives meaning to everything? Why is GF leaving Him out of the picture?

GF says:

“God is so displeased with the state of our religion that He is going to lay our sanctuaries waste!”

“God repeatedly warns in Scripture about the dangers of false religion—even religion that uses the name of Jesus Christ.”

However, the Scriptures tell us:

“…Neither is there salvation in any other [Jesus Christ of Nazareth]: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4: 10; 12)

One important point to remember and not forget is that GF has said that the end-time Jeroboam’s time in office will be short and he will eventually be assassinated, yet before or after this happens he will cause “worthy” PCG members to be kicked out of America and go to the Place of Safety. A second article in this Royal Vision was entitled: “Follow Mr. Flurry’s Faith” by Joel Hilliker which we will not cover except to quote a few lines:

“God is backing up His man.” “God does work through prophets, as Bible history shows. He is working through a prophet now, and people must know it—and they will.”

Referring to the title of this article “Follow Mr. Flurry’s Faith,” is it really faith in the real God of love that GF is following, or is it only a persistent stubbornness to follow HWA’s false mission and “Work” that never accomplished anything worthwhile? (except to exploit people out of their finances and damage them spiritually and emotionally)

Could GF only be wanting to make a name for himself so his admirers and followers will think he is someone special? Someone “used by God,” and truly a “prophet” (even “That Prophet”)?

How much is GF telling the truth?

Many are choosing to leave PCG and have testified to a much better life without fear, coercion, guilt and burdens. (Read letters and testimonies here, scroll down to end of article.) If you are hesitating to leave because of family or friends inside, realize that it is possible to stand strong and have convictions. Christ Jesus will never, ever leave you and will always take care of you and encourage you.
